Samsung Health and Babylon have announced they are partnering up to launch an ‘ask an expert’ service, which will allow users to check symptoms and book video consultations with their doctor.

The new paid-for service provides users with access to a doctor 24 hours a day, as well as manage and order prescriptions online.

‘Ask an Expert, powered by Babylon’ will be available through the Samsung Health app on compatible Samsung Galaxy mobile devices.

Ali Parsa, Babylon’s Founder & CEO, said: “It’s very exciting to know that millions of Samsung users will soon be able to better manage their health using Babylon’s services as we deliver personal health assessments and treatment advice via their Samsung Galaxy devices.”

Launched on 31 May, the solution also allows users to check their symptoms and receive high-quality information about physical health, common ailments and symptoms.

Kyle Brown, head of technology and services at Samsung UK, said: “We’re excited to be welcoming ‘Ask an Expert, powered by Babylon’ to the Samsung Health app.

“The availability of the Babylon service within the app is another milestone for Samsung as we move towards a more connected, healthy world.”

‘Ask an Expert, powered by Babylon’ costs £50 per year or £25 for a one-off appointment.

In a separate story, Digital Health News reported in April that Babylon had partnered with a Chinese internet company to help deliver personal health assessments and treatment advice across mainland China.
